As a Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence Specialist (ML & AI Specialist) on the GEICO IT squad, you'll thrive in a fast-paced innovative culture that turns data into information, and uses that information to drive action. One key focus is our Single View of the Customer (SVOC) initiative at GEICO HQ or Indy Center of Excellence. INDY . As part of this team you will interact with various IT and business partners to design and implement data driven solutions that move our business forward. You’ll synthesize large datasets and solve complex problems through the use of advanced machine learning and statistical modeling. As a team member you will have the opportunity to mentor other associates and help our team grow!

Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering, physics, etc. Advanced degree strongly preferred
o 2+ years of combined academic/industry experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, advanced analytics
o Solid understanding and experience with advanced statistics and modern machine learning predictive techniques such as GLMs, decision trees, forests, boosted ensembles, neural networks, deep learning, etc.
o Strong coding skills using common data science tools, such as Python (strongly preferred), R, Linux/Unix command line and shell scripting, etc.
o Strong skills in data processing using SQL, Hive, Impala, Spark, or equivalent querying language
o Familiarity with distributed storage and big data computing technology (AWS, Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
o Excellent communication skills
o Passion for extracting hidden insights and building machine learning systems that enhance business outcomes
