Job Description

GEICO's law office in Newton, MA is seeking a legal secretary with a minimum of 2 years experience in personal injury/insurance defense litigation. Exceptional computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and experience in Excel is a plus. Preferred experience in case management software. The successful candidate will schedule and maintain attorneys' calendars, including depositions, mediations and trials. The successful applicant must be able to multi task and work for multiple attorneys at one time. The successful applicant will assist with answering phones, opening files, filing Pleadings, Motions, processing mail, preparing correspondence and handling closed files. The successful applicant must be able to interact professionally with clients, attorneys and claims examiners, possess exceptional organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to work independently and to develop proficiency in handling routine tasks. The successful applicant must adhere to GEICO's attendance standard.
