The GEICO Financial Systems team, which supports the Office of Finance, has exciting opportunities for experienced analysts to join our team! These positions involve systems analysis, design, and testing for varied financial and planning system projects, which could include new applications and/or the support of corporate initiatives which impact financial processing. These positions will provide many opportunities to work on new and exciting initiatives, work with leading financial software applications, and provide exposure to many facets of company operations.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze functional and system processes 
  • Participate in the development of business requirements for financial, planning and treasury system projects 
  • System setup and configuration 
  • Create and execute test plans 
  • Act as liaison between users and IT to coordinate system activities 
  • Provide system support and training to Corporate Financial Staff, and other users company-wide

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Information Systems (or equivalent with specific, relevant experience) 
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability 
  • 1-2 years experience working on system development projects
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to collaborate with a group of experienced diverse professionals 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with financial, payroll and/or treasury systems and/or financial planning and analytics
  • An understanding of accounting concepts is strongly desired 
  • Experience with the systems development life cycle, including systems analysis, design and testing on multiple platforms 
  • Experience with reporting tools and the Microsoft Office suite, including MS project
