GEICO’s Real Estate and Facilities Management Department is seeking a highly motivated Facilities Supervisor at our corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase, MD.

The work requires the ability to answer questions and communicate with coworkers, customers and others in in-person, via email, telephones and mobile radios. The work requires the ability to see and hear, detect problems and ensure the safety of employees and others. Under supervision of Facility Manager, manage vender relationships and administrative support activities for the Facilities team

1. Some Knowledge about electrical, mechanical HVAC systems, boilers, chillers operations and cooling tower maintenance
2. Plans and organize small and medium size of projects, executes and closes out projects.
3. Develops Policies and procedures of governing essential operational protocol.
4. Manage computer maintenance management system (“CMMS”) program and provide ad hoc reports as requested by Facilities Management.

Serve as companywide administrator for the CMMS program by providing technical support to regional

  1. Manage multiple venders and maintenance contracts for building operations, by administering contracts, managing vender responsibilities, and coordinating schedules for work completion.

  2. Coordinate scope of work and request for proposal (“RFP”) development and publication with financial control team and Procurement and act as point of contact for venders for RFP process.

  3. Provide oversight of: (i) work order assignments; (ii) work load management for Facilities staff; and (iii) ordering materials and inventory management.

  4. Monitor Building Automatic System (BAS) and contact duty engineers as necessary

  5. Manage Plaza event calendar and requests for Facilities resources.

  6.  Manage operations of Electric Vehicle Charge stations, including enrollments, usage reports, procedures, and financial reporting.

  7. Oversee daily janitorial, pest control, and carpet cleaning services needed to resolve any reported issues. 
     A. Knowledge/Skills: High School diploma or equivalent; Prior Engineering/Facilities lead experience required.  B. Candidate should have experience for utilizing Outlook and MS Office Suits.  The successful candidate for this position will have minimum of 3 years of lead experience. C. Excellent customer service skills with IFMA credential certification as CFM or FMP
