Business Leadership Summer Internship: $19.86 per hour



Are you looking for an internship that provides real world business experience?  During GEICO's 8 week paid summer internship program, you'll gain first-hand knowledge of our dynamic industry, work on meaningful projects, and have opportunities to network with leaders throughout our organization.  This full-time program is designed to educate, stimulate, and develop GEICO’s future business leaders.  It is well-suited for finance, risk management, economics, management, and general business majors.  



You will be assigned a management mentor and take part in group projects that are designed to help you understand our business operations in Sales, Claims, Customer Service and Auto Damage. These projects may include a study of our current business procedures, proposing new strategies for growing and retaining our business as well as a community service initiative. You will have the opportunity to present your findings and deliverables to our senior management team and your recommendations are considered for implementation.   



At the end of the summer internship program you will have an understanding of our business operations and what it takes to be successful leader at GEICO. Our goal is to offer successful interns a full-time opportunity into our Emerging Leaders or Management Development Program upon graduation.

Candidate Qualifications


Pursuing a Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university with a rising senior status at time of the summer program (graduating fall 2020/ May 2021). 



  • 3.0+ cumulative GPA is required
  • Have taken a variety of business courses
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High level of dependability
