Starting Salary: $46,500 / year

And, right now, we’re looking for an Auto Damage Adjuster Trainee to start a GEICO career in Allentown, PA.

Through our industry-leading, paid training, you'll learn the ins and outs of automobile damage to prepare you to directly assist our customers after accidents or other disasters. We'll equip you with the latest technology and all the tools you'll need to be successful. Our adjusters complete estimates virtually by reviewing pictures and videos of vehicle damages. They also work closely with repair shops to negotiate costs and ensure timely completion of repairs. Throughout the process, adjusters provide exceptional customer service by answering all their questions and resolving their concerns.

You will attend an extensive 8-week training program, including 3 weeks in Ashburn, VA and 5 weeks in Rockville, MD to learn the ins and outs of automobile damage and insurance claims adjusting. Equipped with the latest tools and technology in auto adjusting, you will:

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage ranging from minor fender-benders to extensive damage caused by major accidents, hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters.
• Estimate the cost of vehicle repairs, negotiate equitable settlements and issue payments.

• Work directly with other Adjusters and supervisors in a field environment while working with multiple external stakeholders such as body shops, rental partners, and parts providers.


Candidate Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to attend an extensive 8-week training program that includes three weeks in Ashburn, VA, and ability to work independently with flexible schedules
• Solid computer, grammar and multi-tasking skills, and mechanical aptitude
• Good customer service skills
• Must be able to work flexible schedules and independently
• Strong attention to detail, time management and decision-making skills
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
