Experienced Auto Damage Adjuster
Salary: $59,361.90 - $65,648.70/year

GEICO is looking for experienced applicants to be an Auto Damage adjuster in Northern Virginia. Specific locations include Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, Springfield, Tyson's Corner and Falls Church. Salary is based on experience. The role will be a field position with a GEICO fleet vehicle, and will claims to be negotiated at repair facilities, residences and tow yards. Minimum requirements: 1 year of estimating at a body shop or with an insurance company estimating auto property damage.

  • Inspect and assess vehicle damage ranging from minor fender-benders to extensive damage caused by major accidents, hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters
  • Estimate the cost of vehicle repairs, negotiate equitable settlements and issue payments
  • Work directly with other Adjusters and supervisors in a field environment while working with multiple external stakeholders such as body shops, rental partners, and parts providers.
We are looking for people with results they are proud of, such as:
  • Must successfully pass an experienced adjusters exam to be considered
  • Minimum of six months experience in auto damage adjusting
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelors degree or actively pursuing, I-CAR, or ASE certification preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with solid computer, multi-tasking skills, and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail with time management and decision-making skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet our underwriting guidelines to operate a company vehicle
